Absences: Submit your absences at least a week in advance to the New World office by e-mailing attendance@nwyso.org or calling 317-229-2365. If you submit an e-mail notification please identify the date of the absence in the subject line.
Rehearsal Cancellation Policy (due to weather): New World rarely cancels a rehearsal, but it does occur from time to time so it's best to be prepared and understand how you will be notified. Remember that we serve a fairly large geographic area and parent discretion is encouraged, particularly for students who might be driving themselves or for those who do not live in the Indianapolis area.
A cancellation will be posted on the major news stations (WRTV 6, WISH 8, and WTHR 13).
We may post the cancellation on our website (with time permitting).
Our orchestra rehearsal hotline will be updated with the cancellation: 317-229-2366.
