Absences - don't wait...tell us now! Absences should be submitted in one of two ways (new procedure for CO and PO!):

1) At least a week in advance (required for all non-emergency notifications) using our Absence Notification Form (.doc). This form requires the signature of your NWYO conductor, the NWYO Executive Director, and your school director (if it involves a school rehearsal or performance) and may be submitted at rehearsal.

2) The week of rehearsal for EMERGENCIES ONLY via e-mail (attendance@nwyso.org). An emergency includes illness, death in the family, etc. An emergency does NOT include a rehearsal or concert that was "just remembered" or even "just scheduled" as our calendar is posted in advance and the importance of dress rehearsal is second only to the performance itself.

NOTE: Absences for dress rehearsal must be submitted at the start of that rehearsal cycle (August or September for the November performance, for example). Absences for dress rehearsal must be submitted in writing and will not be accepted during the week prior to the dress rehearsal/concert. Absence notification given during the week prior to the concert may result in the member not performing at that concert.
